If necessary, we'll request the official name and all details at the authority that issued that certificate ages ago.

In the worst-case scenario, we'll write “illegible”. Sometimes, that's enough. However, it's necessary to make sure that such marks are allowed at the authority to which the translation is going to be submitted. In this case, issuing a copy of the certificate through the requests for documents procedure may help.

 
 
We notarise stamps
This is necessary if the translation is given
to official institutions. Approximately 90% of such cases are
  • We take placement of stamps/seals in the source document into account
  • We translate both the text on the seal and the text on the stamp, even if they are the same text
  • We indicate the type of the impression (seal or stamp)
  • We indicate whether the stamp is embossed or is placed on the binding of the document
  • We indicate how many identical stamps there are in the document
 
 
 
We translate Apostilles, too

Apostille is used for the Hague Convention Countries, and the Convention's languages only include English and French.

If you are to submit the document to a country where there is another official language, you need to have the Apostille translated.

Important: a notarised translation and a notarial copy of a document are not the same! You need the original document for production of a notarial copy!

 
 
When sending a photo or a scan of a document,
please make sure the image follows these rules:
  • make sure you have a full two-page spread of the document;
  • scan the document in A4 format, centred;
  • remove the document cover;
  • make sure there are no glares,
    fingers or anything that shouldn't be there;;
  • all pages should be photographedagainst the same background, in the same position;
  • if the document containspoorly readable or poorly visible notes, stamps and seals,
    please provide additional close-up photos of those;
  • specify the correct spelling of the name.
